All of the medical and education benefits make it worth it.
And yeah the other branches have better tech and a higher budget, but the CG is much more selective in who they let in because they need people who can do the job despite that. And we do all the cool shit the other branches do. Just we have to do it without tons of electronics to do half the job for us.
No seriously, all the branches are respectable, I just chose the CG because I liked the fact that it's so small. Makes it easier to be recognized for doing something good when there's not a big crowd of people around you. And I've always liked the CG's color scheme.
